Work Stress!

So, I started work just prior to my latest book being published. It has been so incredibly busy that I haven’t had the time to do much of anything related to writing. Well, that’s not so accurate, but I certainly haven’t been writing anything here!

I did finish the first draft of a historical fiction novel that I researched last summer. I’m currently in the process of self-editing the story before I send it to my real editor. He is also working on finishing the edits on “The Shomer”, a Biblical fiction novel which tells the story of the Nephilim as protectors of the human tribes from evil.

I’ve also decided to write a non-fiction book about male childhood sexual abuse. I was encouraged by a colleague to explore that as a possibility, so we’ll see how that works. I’ve been doing some research regarding various aspects of male CSA, and I plan to put in some of my own faith experience and knowledge within the book.

I see a light at the end of the tunnel as far as work is concerned, so I’m hoping in the next few weeks to put more energy towards my writing. Although I did just register for ASL classes starting in the spring of 2027. I’m back as a college student at 54 years of age. Once I retire as a public-school teacher, my plan is to become an ASL interpreter, specifically for medical offices and hospital visits since I have a background in science. I’ve always been fascinated with ASL, and I’m looking forward to that next step in my life.
