The Trip Home Part 2

The biggest difference I noticed on my travels today was the weather. Southern California has fairly predictable weather. Worland, my hometown for those of you just tuning in, is not necessarily that way. It was a beautiful drive through Utah, with gorgeous white puffy clouds and the occasional sprinkle on the interstate. Once we got to Worland, it was warm until the afternoon storm rolled in with some rain and high winds. Then, it got cooler. This is the Worland I remember!

I did get to have a small reunion with some of my classmates, some of whom I haven’t seen since I graduated high school. I know that we can never go back to those years, but I do have some regrets about not getting to know or befriend some of my classmates. They are really good people. And I know that God has a plan, and that if things had gone differently, my life would have ended up differently, and so on and so forth. I guess I’m just being sentimental and realizing the good in many people. A friend of mine pointed out I was dealing with a lot during high school, post sexual abuse! So, I just need accept where I’m at right now, which is a really good place, and keep moving forward. I’m hoping that the connections that I have made with some of the people here, and who have moved on from here, I can continue having a friendship with them.

I’m very thankful for the place I’m at right now in my life. God has done wonders with me, and I have to give Him all of the credit for the person I am right now. Things could have turned out so much worse for me, but I was shielded from so many things. I know that I cannot take that for granted!
