5 years and 100 posts!

I can’t believe that I started this over five years ago, and this will be my 101st post! This all began as a way to talk about issues that male survivors deal with. I know that some things have been repeated. Some of issues I’ve posted about, I have overcome. However, there are many things that I continue to deal with. And there are other things that have come up that I never thought I would have to deal with. But isn’t that just what life is all about?

One of my goals with my books, this page, and my social media has always been to give other survivors a way to feel heard and to know that they are not alone. The other goal has always been to help friends and family of survivors understand the breadth and depth of the issues that male survivors have. I’ve been encouraged by many other male survivors who are doing the same thing. My hope is that by our shared vision, this topic will be discussed often and in detail so that sexual abuse will become a thing of the past.

On the other hand, I am preparing to publish a couple of novels that do not directly deal with sexual abuse. And I say do not directly because the murder mystery I have does touch on the subject. Regardless, I would like to try a variety of genres of fiction to see where I find my sweet spot. But I will continue to post about issues regarding sexual abuse to hopefully encourage the goals I’ve always hoped to achieve.
